Vreel is a video-first dating app. We believe privacy is part of the product, and we try to collect only what we need to run the service and keep the community safe.

We collect information you provide directly, information created when you use Vreel, and limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

When you apply for the waitlist, we may collect your email address, phone number, gender, age range, city, social handles, and answers to optional questions about how you heard about Vreel and what you want from a dating app.

When you create a Vreel account, we may collect your profile video, phone number, and any optional verification information you choose to provide, such as an ID verification or linked social account.

We also collect technical data such as your IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, and app crash logs. This helps us prevent abuse, diagnose issues, and improve performance.

We use your information to operate Vreel, verify profiles, review videos for safety, send transactional messages, and improve the product.

We use your email and phone number to communicate with you about your account, waitlist status, matches, and important service updates. We do not send promotional messages without your consent.

We use video content only to provide the dating experience. Your profile video is shown to other Vreel members in your dating preferences. Video replies are only visible to the person you send them to.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to target advertising on behalf of third parties.

We share information only with service providers who help us run Vreel, and only when necessary. For example, we use cloud hosting, database services, email delivery, and analytics providers.

We may share information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or to respond to a valid legal request. We will notify you when legally permitted.

We do not share your profile videos or private messages with advertisers, data brokers, or the public.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, understand how people use the site, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

We use analytics services such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand site usage. These services may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies.

We use the Meta Pixel to measure ad performance and to send a conversion event when someone successfully joins the waitlist. This helps us understand which marketing efforts are working.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if you disable cookies.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as long as we need it to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

When you delete your account, we begin removing your data within 30 days. Some information may be kept longer if required by law or for legitimate security reasons, such as records of abuse reports.

You can update your profile information, change your preferences, or delete your account from the Vreel app settings.

You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Transactional emails about your account or matches may still be sent even if you opt out of marketing messages.

No online service is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password, keep your phone secure, and report anything suspicious to us immediately.

Vreel is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@vreel.app and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app before the changes take effect. The updated policy will always be posted at vreel.app/privacy.
